- Friday was kickoff to the 2014 Relay For Life of Victoria County.
Hundreds of people formed teams to take turns walking laps for 12-hours straight...all to "finish the fight" against cancer.
From 6p.m. until 6a.m. teams walked the track at the VISD Event Center by Memorial Stadium, all to raise money for the American Cancer Society. They weren't out there alone. Walkers were joined by musical guests throughout the event.
Mudcatz started playing ahead of the opening ceremony.
Dr. Yahagi & The Mended Hearts were next, followed by I-69, and entertainer Chase Brown finished off the night.
