Some scary moments for over a dozen classrooms at one Victoria school that had the lights go out on them during their morning lessons. Our Lady of Victory School was in the dark after the power went down during school Tuesday.
According to AEP the power went down out at 10:30 a.m. because of a damaged underground cable. Principal Sister Laura Toman said nothing like this has happened before. The cafeteria and gym were used to house the 16 classes where the power went out. She said no children were in any danger and the parents were notified. Science teacher Harvey Schooner said that when things like this happen you have to work around it. AEP is still working on the cable line they said power should be restored sometime Tuesday night.
