VICTORIA - Thursday was a windy night, but it was music that was blowing through the air in downtown Victoria.

April 24th was Victoria Symphony's annual
Downtown Rhythms concert.

The free outdoor concert featured over 50 members of the Victoria Symphony Orchestra playing favorite tunes from Hollywood movies, and even a musical salute to America's Armed Forces.

Middle school, high school, and college music ensembles from around the area joined them throughout the night, including the VISD High School Orchestra.

The family fun event also had a musical "petting zoo" for kids to try out instruments, a bubble station, and more.

The concert wrapped up at 10p.m. with local band Clay Crockett & the Shotgun Riders

This is Victoria Symphony's 40th season.
