Court at Law Judge
There's a new judge in town.
Tuesday Victoria County Commissioners voted on who will be the next judge of the county court at law number one. Travis Ernst was appointed after beating out four other finalists. Ernst is taking the place of Judge Laura Weiser who is resigning this week to take a job in Austin. After being sworn in on Monday, the new judge will immediately begin his duties mainly handling misdemeanor violations.
