Cambridge Apartment Complaints
One Victoria family said they are stranded because being in their own home is making them sick. The family said they're fuming, over the fumes from ongoing roof work going on at the Cambridge Apartments. The vapors are causing them to have some health concerns.
Rhonda Dennis has lived at the Cambridge Arms Apartments located on Linwood Drive for over 3 years. She said last week they started re-roofing the building and besides the fact that tenants were not given any notice of the repairs, the fumes from the hot tar is causing health problems. Dennis said she's a stay at home mom who has nowhere to go during the day when the fumes are at their worst, she said Woolson Real Estate who manage the complex suggested she go for a drive and spend more time outside. Dennis said the property managers did put her up in a hotel for two nights but she said that's not enough after being told the reroofing would continue for another five days.
Ruth Glass with Woolson Real Estate did not want to comment on camera but said the roofing repairs are necessary and the material being used is the same that's used for any flat gravel roof. Dennis said that several other residents have complained to her, but she hopes they come forward to the property managers so something more gets done. We got an update that Dennis was offered another night at a hotel and property managers told her they were not receiving messages of complaints.
