Building Fire on Port Lavaca Drive
On the south side of town, the exterior of a building caught fire before 3:00 this afternoon.
According to Victoria fire officials, the blaze burned a few materials in the back of the building and caused minor smoke damage to the inside. The building was unoccupied at the time and is said to be a church, according to one witness. Fire crews put out the fire within minutes of their arrival. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
