18-wheeler crashes are on the rise since big rigs from the Eagle Ford Shale rolled into the area. However, Texdot is hoping a new campaign that launches Friday will help spread the word about driving safely no matter what the size. Oilfield truckers said when it comes to driving down our roads; the trucks aren't the only danger. Bruce Alexander a trucker said the roads were already dangerous enough, but the Eagle Ford Shale has made it worse. This is why the Texas Department of Transportation and the Texas Department of Public Safety have teamed up with oil and gas companies to start the campaign, “Be Safe.
