50 MPH Winds
That wind has been blowing strong all day, knocking down a few poles in the Crossroads and even leaving residents without power.
Those strong winds have left thousands of people along the coastal bend without any power including a few hundred people here in the Crossroads. According to the AEP over 170 customers in Victoria City were without power and as of 6:00 p.m. on Monday the numbers are down to 75 customers without power. About 150 people in Victoria and Calhoun County combined are currently without power. Earlier Monday afternoon, Victoria Regional Airport had gust of winds up to 50mph, which equivalent to a tropical storm. The strong gusts of wind are not slowing down anytime soon and there is a wind advisory and red flag warning until 8 p.m. Monday.
