Janelle Bludau was born and raised in the small town of Hallettsville, Texas, where she attended Sacred Heart Catholic School from Kindergarten through her Senior year. From there, she spent a year and a half at Victoria College, where she recieved much of her undergraduate studies. In the Spring of 2009, Janelle transferred to Texas A&M University in College Station, where she majored in Telecommunication Media Studies and minored in Journalism. It was there that she learned her true passion for journalism, whether it be print or broadcast. In Spring of 2011, Janelle was lucky enough to intern at the local Bryan station, KBTX, where she learned the hard work and drive it takes to be in the news industry. Janelle joined the staff of KAVU as an Internet Content Coordinator in May of 2012. About five weeks later, she was promoted to General Assignment Reporter.
